Somewhere Beyond the Sea examines my hometown of Laguna Beach, CA, looking to my ever-evolving relationship with the ocean and outer space to rebuild the dreamlike world I remember as a child. Negotiating between wonder and terror, I construct idealistic dioramas that explore my fear of the ocean and feelings of anxiety around growing up.
